02/03/10 Day 6: Last Day... Three Parks

Our last full day at Walt Disney World dawned bright and sunny. Steevin and I woke up full of energy, ready to tackle all our plans for the day. After showering and getting ready we made a beeline for the bus to Animal Kingdom. We stopped just about every Photopass Cast Member we saw to get our fill of pictures. We saw some animal that was super cute. I can't remember the name of it but it looked like a cross between a deer and a rabbit. We treked our way to Everest and enjoyed our last ride down the icy slopes and past the hairy yeti. We checked out the giant anteater on our way out of the park. Someone there mentioned that it reminded them of the Pink Panther. I thought they were crazy until I googled it. I'll be darned... there WAS an anteater in the Pink Panther cartoons. I did not remember that at all. So sorry to the person at Animal Kingdom that I secretly thought was crazy. Turns out, you made lots of sense... at least about the anteater. I can't speak for the rest of your life.

Ready to play at AK

Before she took our picture the Photopass Cast Member asked us to help us get the kid in the family in front of us to smile for his picture. She liked the faces we made so much we took a picture like that. The kid... well, he was less impressed.

Ew! Steev kisses! (just kidding... I love them!)

We bussed ourselved on over to Disney Hollywood Studios to ride Steev's favorite ride, Rock 'N' Roller Coaster. As we were walking towards the giant upsidedown Cadillac, we spotted some "Streetmosphere" going on. We stopped to watch the "making of a movie" and Steev was picked to try out for a part. The lady who was playing the casting director was very enamored of Steev. But then, who wouldn't? He's quite charming. Of course a young rugrat won the part but Steev got a small Oscar for his work. And to be fair... that kid was pretty damn cute. After getting his applause and taking a bow or seven, Steevin and I rode RNR and rocked out to some Aerosmith.

Don't get too excited, family. It was for the camera only.

She really liked her some Steevin. Of course you can't blame her.

I hope I'm included in his acceptance speech

We never rode it the whole trip but we still got a picture

Rock on!

It was getting to be lunch time and we had skipped breakfast so we decided to try some place new. We went to the Sci-Fi Dine In. It was super cute, the food was really good and we were entertained by the old B horror movied playing on the screen. We were seated in a car and the couple in frons of us were super sweet. We chatted with them a bit and tried to convince them to buy our lunch... but they werent quite THAT sweet. LOL! But the bacon cheeseburger and diet vanilla coke  really hit the spot.

We wanted to spend the rest of our time at Epcot so Steev decided we should take a boat there. What a great idea! The weather was perfect and we got to see The Boardwalk which we decided we will be staying at for sure in the future. Has anyone ever stayed there? I want to know about Jellyrolls and the Dance Hall. Are they fun? Inquiring minds want to know!

The Love Boat

After our beautiful boat ride we arrived in Epcot and were greeted by Maleficent. Wow! You never see her at Disneyland. She seemed to be having a melting issue with her chin but oh well. Still very cool to see her! Of course pictures were required. We got a passport to get stamps in each of the pavilions. We were also on a mission to find as many princesses as we could find. We found quite a few AND a certain M. Poppins. We went to France and got pasteries. I was not impressed this time. The eclaire was absoloutly delicious! But the Creme Brule was gross. Its consistancy was all wrong... it was chalky, curdled, some sort of mess. Yuck. Which is sad because that is my favorite dessert. And we got Iced Mochas... also gross. They were like slurpees and also tasted sour. Bleck. Stick with the eclaires. To make up for the ick-factor of our French pasteries we met up with Aurora who asked us if we'd run into her faries earlier due to our pink and blue glasses.

She kinda looks like someone I know...

Pink... no, blue... no! Pink!

We had a great time exploring Morocco. Its my favorite Pavillion... even though they don't have candy. That place is just amazingly beautiful with the blue sky behind it. We got some awesome pictures. We enjoyed some pork buns in China since our earlier treat had been such a disappointment. It was very yummy. We also got to say hello to Mulan. In Japan Steevin was AGAIN selected to be a part of the street performers. It must be his rugged good looks. He was the star of the show. The couple next tme me asked me what he did for a living because they thought he did such a good job. I think they tried to out-clap me at the ending applause. We headed to Norway for one more ride on Malstrom. I enjoyed trying on the viking helmets and even had some possibly drunk frat-boy-ish types be troopers and wear them with me for a picture. Classy!!

We rode the Gran Fiesta Tour once more and then headed to Sunshine Seasons for dinner. We sat there for a while reflecting on all the fun we'd had on our trip and vowing to come back soon. After we relaxed and finished talking about what a great vacation we'd had, we went to get our Photopass DVD (I can't stress enough what a great deal this was for us. A great souvineer!). Our last ride of the trip was Space Ship Earth. As we exited, we waved goodbye to Epcot and promised to see it again soon. We got hot cocoa when we arrived back at the Pop and unwound from the day.

Our future looks bright!

This was such a great vacation. Steev and I had yet to be on a trip, just the two of us. It was romantic and fun and so special. Steevin is such a great travel partner... and a great partner in all things. I can't wait to do it again! If you liked reading about our trip... we do take donations so we can go again and I can write more. LOL! Kidding! Thanks for reading!
